Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When do we contact Criterion, how much notice do we need to give criterion, prior to an assignment?
A: We recommend that you contact us at least seven days prior to the assignment to ensure complete satisfaction. Click-here for more information on requests to our clients.
Q: Is Criterion in any contractual or arrangements with Legal Aid Board?
A: CRITERION is not in any contractual or other arrangements with the Legal Aid Board. The contract to provide service is strictly and solely between the Solicitors or/and any other party and CRITERION. Payment is therefore due from and payable by the Solicitors to CRITERION on the above terms only regardless of whether or not the Solicitors or any other party involved, have ultimate recourse to indemnity from the finance or funds of the Legal Aid Board.
Q: Are you able to offer your service on hourly basis?
A: Since for instance, our clients who are dealing with court cases or social issues, are most unlikely to take on more than one assignment, either in the morning or in the afternoon, we therefore charge fees on a half-a-day basis unless otherwise demanded. Our fees are discussed and possible payments clarified in writing from our clients prior to taking on a job.
